A fantastic museum of Louisiana History and Culture. Beautiful permanent collection and monthly events for the kids and adults alike!

This Louisiana history museum is very interesting and well documented. The thematic organization allows to see the natural environment, the economic activities, the historical evolutions. Excerpts from archives on slavery, excerpts from old prints on the first naturalists, numerous soundtracks on music in Louisiana and film extracts (for example on the governor then senator: Huey Long).

If Louisiana is full of secret treasure, Capital Park Museum is an amazing treasure chest full of culture and character of the Bayou State. A great experience for all ages.
