Great for dryland activities but the pool is most of the time uncomfortably warm and some weeks it is good then goes back to the way it was. 95% of the time the pool was unacceptable and was not fit for the whole community which the YMCA strives to be a place for all but clearly not for all in the pool. Ongoing battle for the year(s). You overheat in the pool. Incredibly frustrating and you leave more stressed. Never had this issue with other YMCAs I been to. This is not a suitable place for people looking for a strong pool workout. My apologies for this review but people need to be able to evaluate their options when choosing a pool.

Hi Aurora, yes we do! We have Aqua Fit every Tuesday at 10am, Senior Aqua on Mondays at 8:15am, and Flipper class on Mondays at 12:15pm. We also offer group and private swim lessons, and free swim.
There is a parking garage around the corner, and the YMCA validate you the parking ticket

It is a good gym but something is always wrong! Starting Monday the pool will be close for 5 weeks and the women steam room has been closed indefinitely for a long time! And the elevator doesn't work for a person with a disability. Parking on the street is horrible but there is $2 for 2 hours in the lot.

Other YMCA'S have camp there is only one ymca building in each town thst has a camp site. Hartford is Wilson-gray
Downtown hartford ymca does not rent rooms. however new britain ymca does and i believe it starts at 500 a month. You can get your first mont free if you have a state issued social services card.
