Tucked away from the main road is this magical forest with small creeks and tall trees and plants to take your family, pets, and friends. Love this little getaway in Cary.

A really nice, convenient place to walk. They have restrooms and water fountains at the entrance to the trails but after that you feel lome you're in the middle of nowhere in a good way. Since the trails are in a wooded area, you are out of the sun which is great on a hot day! A calming relaxing place to get your steps in!

Nice hiking and running trails. Well maintaomed park with relatively clean bathrooms.

It isn't "park", it's natural Reserve, for that I think has enough parking although not plenty like public parks (there is no picnic area or BBQ either, not made for that purpose)

Are there things to do for small children? Our grandchildren are ages 3, 6 & 9.

There is a small play area outside (good for running and brief climbing, but not a playground), and an indoor small nature center (check open hours), with some exhibits, taxidermy, and a few short videos. And of course the hiking is relatively easy with nice views. I wouldn't say it would entertain for a whole afternoon, but there are things to do for a shorter trip.
