I called these people for help with my power bill and found out that even though I was in Caldwell County I wasn't in there half of the county so i could apply for help there, but they did tell me where I could get help. Turns out Caldwell is broken up into 2 districts and they help people mainly in leinor and South Caldwell Christian Ministry helps Granite Falls. DSS ended up helping us because Christian Ministries only helps once a year and we had a month to go before we get help so they wouldn't help us. I have Yokefellow 5 stars because not only did they steer us in the right direction but they have help a number of my friends with there deposits and disconnection notices for power.

I never fail to find good quality, like new clothes and other items in this store. It's my favorite.

They don’t even deserve one star they are really rude I was told to go here to get help with food mabey even furniture I went in and was yelled at and told that I needed a id and it’s after 5 it was 11:30 I was also yelled at and I felt very disrespected you should treat people that need help with respect just because we need help don’t mean we are less than any of you on top of that she followed us outside just to say are you not comeing in and I’m also a hundred percent sure they are racist all of the black peoples that comment have a problem with this place just don’t go stay away if u need food they have other food banks on Thursdays and Wednesday a just look up food banks near me a lot of churches give back idn if this place is Christian but it’s called fellowship and I don’t think this place Know about fellowship or treating people with respect

Yokefellow is currently closed at the old location. We are moving to the old Kimbrells building across from McDonald's. We are hoping to open Jan 6 (possibly be later)if all construction goes as planned etc.
Yokefellow is a stellar nonprofit group mostly volunteers who provide food, directives, and help individuals with a hand up in Lenoir when needed the most. They are professional and have helped thousands in the years they have been open. They do have a qualifying process to receive assistance. Perhaps your need was not great enough for help. Make no mistake the director of this agency is fair with all and certainly does not deserve the rating and negativity you are spewing.
Yokefellow is open every weekday but Wednesday. They have an outlet and give free food. Bring ID and a piece of mail addressed to you.

You need to go to get help at DSS first they will give you a paper to take to Yokafellow. They are closed on Wednesday. Take cut off as well as proof of income and social security number for everyone in the household. Go early so you can try Salvation army if they are out of funds. Sending prayers
