Amazing place to walk your pup and stretch those legs or part a couple chairs and look at the stars.

Nice scenic little park that you can sit by on the water fountains or in a gazebo and have your lunch. A go to for wedding and prom pictures.

Dogs are allowed on a leash and owners are strongly encouraged to use the doggy bags provided to clean their messes.
Excellent question indeed. When you find out please do let me know as I , am just as interested if not more than you !
Yes
No we cannot allow metal detecting due to our irrigation systems and underground wiring. Thank you for asking!
That you'll have to take up with the city's Park and Recreation Board, but pretty sure they might say no
No, Hurley Park has a very small pond that is not stocked. Across the street is the City Lake and it is stocked every year. To fish that lake you have to have a N.C. Fishing License. Often times we are confused with Community Park on Hurley School Road and they have a large pond that is also stocked and can be fished as long as you have the NC Fishing License. Hope that helps!
Hurley Park does not allow fishing, but City Park (across the street) they do and they stock three times a year! Hope that helps!
