Very pleasant and easy to talk to on the phone. Clerk of Courts picked up on the second ring and I did not have to waste any time on automated directory.

If you are in need of passport services I’d highly recommend looking for this assistance elsewhere. My daughter and I began working with Julia/Julie at this facility back In February and now almost six months later there has been absolutely no progression on the approval of both our applications whatsoever. This was due to the neglect of leaving a simple signature from the accepting agent to acknowledge that we were processing the application through this particular facility. With that, we are now being penalized and will have to not only begin the application process AGAIN but will also be responsible for all of the fees associated with doing so. I expected that my application would be handled on a professional level with representatives who would perform at an expert level or at minimum be able to carry out the basic operations of their role in the company. I was also under the impression that their was a mutual understanding concerning that the events surrounding this matter were very time sensitive. With this failed execution I feel confident in saying that all of the said promises surrounding what would be offered to the public to obtain passports did not translate very well or yet at all through her work ethic. I understand that mistakes happen but they would happen a lot less if everyone did their due diligence. This is what I expected from Julia, but it is certainly opposite of what I received. Furthermore, I didn’t appreciate that the agent was unwilling to accept fault in her actions and the inconvenience she has caused not just centered around the amount of time that this has taken but from a financial standpoint as well. You would think that after all of this some accommodation would be made right?! Wrong. Extremely disappointed and dissatisfied!!!

If you have the street address, you can utilize the Tax Administration Record Search to look up the owner information. http://rowan.ustaxdata.com/
You may call our office (704-216-8626), come-in-person, or use eSearch to see if we have a marriage record on file. The caveat is that we do not track marital status – only if a couple applied for, received, and used/returned a marriage license. So, a person could be married but have received the marriage license from another county or state, or they could be divorced, which is handled through the couples’ local clerk of court. So, to sum it up, we would only have a record of a couple requesting and returning a marriage license in Rowan County. The return information would state where they were married, who performed it, and information from two witnesses.
You can go in and they can look up the name or book and page if you have it. You can also look it up online on their website.
We only have records for couples that have applied for a marriage license in Rowan County. In North Carolina, a couple can get their license and get married in any county in North Carolina that they wish. Also, we cannot make a legal determination as to whether someone is married or not – only if they applied for and used a marriage license.
Promissory notes are held by the lender and we have never seen one recorded in our office. Typically it is the security instrument, like a mortgage or deed of trust, that gets recorded. It is always best to consult an attorney before preparing or filing any legal documents.
