Excellent Experinece!

When we first went to McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park we were impressed by how nice the staff seemed. We were given Casey Steele as our contact and shown around the park and options were clearly discussed with us. Once we made our selections and paid for our veteran fathers resting place contact from Casey became non-existent. She made several mistakes on our selections and we had to follow up consistently to correct the issues. We buried our father on April 19th, 2022, and to this day September 2022, we still do not have our father's grave marker. We consistently call to inquire and we are sent to voicemail. We have tried escalating this to the funeral Director, Jerod Mayes and he was dismissive and unapologetic of the treatment we have received. Our family has not been able to have closer and heal during a time of grief. McEwen has treated me and my family so awful and we are not any closer to having a resolution. Our hearts are sad and heavy when we visit our father's resting place there is nothing there to acknowledge him. We were told the bronze marker was disconnected, then that there was an issue with the vendor they use, and now when we call to inquire where our fathers marker is after five months our calls are not returned. For Sharon Memorial to be advertised as a military memorial park and to treat a veteran and veteran's family as we have been treated is a sign of gross disrespect and we would never recommend using McEwen Funeral Services as the entire staff Casey Steele, Jerod Mayes, and Frances has been extremely unapologetic, dismissive, disrespectful, and unsympathetic. My hope is that through this survey someone would do the right thing and contact us to help properly be able to lay our father to rest and give us the opportunity to start to heal and find closure as our wound is still open and raw after five months. I pray someone understands and makes this awful wrong, right?

I thought that Frances, Shawn, and Joye were exceptional. They were helpful considerate and in general did a fantastic job of coordinating my brother's service. I could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you so much. -John Capes

Forest, go to the office of McEwen on site at the cemetery. They own the land and are very helpful in showing you the plot locations.
