Very quiet and peaceful. Good place to decompress, watch nature, or read a book. Just around a 3 mile gravel road ride to the final location. There is an info hut and a small hut or shelter overlooking a lake, bushes, and trees. Not a good place for a hike, unless you park at the beginning and walk the 3 mile gravel road. No restrooms.

There's no trails here. There is just the little boardwalk to the pond overlook. There's a nice long gravel road through some trees which might be nice for cycling?

Had hoped that the refuge had some walking trails, but still a beautiful place.

Parking at end of gravel road. There is a nice pavilion for overlooking the meadow and distant ponds. I spent two hours birding the road. There are no hiking trails here. Great for birding, probably not much else.

Is this preservation open to volunteer opportunities anywhere in the area? Looking to expand my education upon nature and wildlife without hands-on experience.
