Wow! Such a beautiful park. I never knew this hidden gem was in this community. I attended Praise in the Park where there was good singing, great food vendors and a variety of community agencies sharing their resources. The restrooms were really clean for a park facility. I will definitely include this park as part of my morning walk.

The Smithville Park baseball fields are not reserved this weekend. Please be aware of the conditions out there, though, because of all the rain we’ve had. If you play on them when they’re muddy, it can cause a lot of damage.

Plans are to open for the summer on Saturday, May 22, as long as the NC guidelines allow us to do so safely!
The splash pad is closed for now and probably will be all summer
