We bought a new house and found mouse droppings in several areas of the house. I reached out to ServPro after learning that housecleaning services do not take care of cleaning like that. I had tried to reach out to ServPro's Berlin branch, but somehow ended up with Egg Harbor. Communication between the Account Manager Daren was positive. They were not able to give me an idea of how much the service would cost, so they sent someone named Dan to evaluate the work. We agreed we would only have the first floor of home done for $750+ tax, as carpet cleaners would do upstairs. Dan assured me that the home would be so clean that he would feel comfortable his grandson could crawl on it. I felt very confident in their services up to this point. Project Manager Joe was assigned to lead the cleaning. By the end of the day this is what I ended up sending to Dan and Daren: "My husband has just visited the house,..., today, 8/6/22 which is the day after 8/5/22 ServPro service. We were disappointed to find that Joe's team did not complete the job that was tasked for them. There is still mouse droppings all over the first floor. It seems they only cleaned under the sink and also left items in our sink without communicating to us what it all is. Based on our lock records, the team only was there from 9:41am to 10:18am. I checked in with Joe at about 4:00pm to find out how things were going and he confirmed that they had finished and locked the house as instructed. I was skeptical that they could do the job that fast but thought maybe they were just that good and experienced. We are now delayed in moving in :( and this is very heartbreaking. This was not worth $750 and would not be a home that my children could safely play and live in." Daren responded promptly, apologized, and said they would take care of the issue. Joe came again on Monday, called me, apologized, and said that he only received a paper stating that kitchen and closet needed cleaning and that they thoroughly cleaned the kitchen and a random upstairs closet. I reviewed with him what was expected to be done. I requested a callback when they were finished, and my husband started traveling to meet them at the house. After about 40 min, I was once again surprised to be informed that they were finished and heading out. I asked what questions I could think of to ensure they did the job this time. I did not quite believe such a short amount of time could yield the results I was expecting. They were gone by the time my husband arrived, and he found that a first floor closet had not been touched. We had to call Joe again, and he sent two people to clean up the closet... I really don't understand. My next message to Daren : "Hi Daren, thanks for your assistance. Joe came today to complete the job. After he left, we did have to call him again because one of the closets had not been cleaned. He sent two workers to finish this. I am happy that the job was able to be addressed today, but the task incompleteness even following the original issue was surprising and sadly increased my lack of confidence in the team assigned to the job. We don't doubt they are hard workers, but they also seem to be lacking in attention to certain important details as well as lacking in direction and planning, which is crucial to this kind of job, I imagine. Again, I do thank you for your prompt responsiveness on Sunday so we could get this done and move forward." I received no response to this. Ultimately, we still found the drawers in the kitchen cabinets had not been touched either, as evidenced by mouse droppings and old garbage from the previous owner; and we still had to clean this out after spending so much on one thing we didn't think we had to worry about. I do not recommend their services. If you can get a shop vac, Lysol, mask, gloves, and HEPA filter for shop vac, you are better off doing the job yourself.

We received an estimate of "$1200, not to exceed $1500" - but then the final bill we received was for $1900. When I inquired about this I was initially given a run around, but the office manager Daren finally worked out a refund for $300. Two months later I still have not received it, despite Daren saying he mailed it on July 5. I have followed up 3 times and not gotten a response.
