If you are accepted into the program you only have to pay for books . $550 a year, currently.
You have to pay 550 a year for books, that's it. If your grade average is a 90% or above you only have to pay 1/2 the price for books the following year. It is a 4 year program. You start working for an electrical contractor as soon as your 1st day of school starts.
It is all evening classes, and you are required to work a day job.
Your chances are good. Initial exam is basic Alegebra 2 and reading knowledge. HS Transcripts are due every April so you have a few months to learn some basic knowledge until next July when you will go through the acceptance process.
Either that or there is a supplemental math class you can get access to via the Apprenticeship program to qualify for application into the program. Deadlines are coming up!!!
There is a packet there that can answer the info. Unfortunately I dont remember off the top of my head.
No as the only Licensens in NC is a Contractors Licensens which you need at least 4 years as a JW to take. Our Apprentices when graduated are recognized on the US and Canada as a Journeyman Wireman in any Local Union.
