Great place to go and the girl at the front desk, Autumn, is my niece and she showed us around and she did really well! I'm very proud of her! Great place to visit! 🥰

Cute place with indoor animals in cages, including a skunk, possum, rats, snakes, bugs, etc. Classroom space as well. Outdoor wooded trail, frog pond, and natural playground under construction. Admission is free but donations accepted. My kids and I had a great time.

Do you accept box turtles? I have a box turtle named Sheldon that I’ve had for about 12 years. I unfortunately cannot keep him.

Sorry, we are not able to accept any box turtles at this time as our enclosure is at capacity. I would reach out on social media to see if anyone is interested in owning a turtle. It might be a good time of year for takers as they could make an interesting class pet! Good Luck!

There is a fawn in my backyard and I think it is lost. Should I do anything about it?

We are unsure of your yard habitat. However, if your yard has adult deer visit it on occasion, then the fawn may be just staying put until its mother is done foraging for the day. We would recommend leaving it be for now. Please let us know if you have additional questions and feel free to call us at 215-887-6603 to speak to someone directly. Or if you would like you could phone the Philadelphia Metro Wildlife Clinic at (267-416-9453) for their recommendation; their specialty is injured wildlife. Thanks so much for reaching out.

Do you have to be an Abington Twp. resident to visit Briar Bush? Is there a fee for non- residents?

You don't have to be a resident to visit. I believe it's a pay what you want to visit

Is there a parking lot nearby?

Maria Adlawan | Sep 27, 2021
Briar Bush Nature Center | Sep 27, 2021

Hi Maria, We have a lot, but it is very limited, especially since we have been using some to provide space for distance during COVID. There is street parking nearby, and an elementary school has a lot that is 0.2 miles (5min walk) down the road. Please feel free to call us at 215-887-6603 if you have any more questions, and thanks for your interest!
