I was reading through their website and from what I could gather initially, it seemed to me that this establishment takes the care of bunnies very seriously. They seemed very knowledgeable and respectable. Then, interested in supporting them somehow, I got to the equipment page, and I saw that they highly recommend wire-bottom cages for their rabbits... This is horrible for rabbits! The very thought makes me so sad. I am a bunny parent and my bunny is completely free-roam, we use plastic cat litter boxes full of bedding and hay and our bunny loves these. She uses them for the bathroom and, since they love to eat and use the bathroom at once, she gets to indulge on hay as well. Please, if you get a bunny here (or anywhere) and if you are not comfortable with free-roaming, (although it is so much fun for bunny and parent!!) please don’t get wire-bottom cages... they hurt bunnies so badly.

Questions & Answers

Is their fur hard to manage? - their fur is longer than a rgular holland lop. I am concerned I won't know what to do?

Their fur is longer and MUCH SOFTER than a regular holland lop. Fuzzy Lops are incredibly Soft and they loveto be pet - which is a very pleasurable experience for the woner too since the fur is so soft!. It's fur stops growing at a certain length so they do not have to be shaved liked Angoras, just combed. Like any breed of bunny - when it is losing it's baby fur and getting in its adult fur, combing is required daily for a few weeks to make sure the baby and adult furs do not knot. This takes a few weeks and is a bonding experience with owner and bunny. Once the adult fur is in, they need to be combed about 2 times a week for maintenance. It is worth it due to the super soft, amazing fur this bunny has and how adorable they look! Their personalities are sweet, playful and gentle, plus they are a very small bunny - the perfect pet for people who work! I have a lot of information on my website as well.

Are these bunnies easy to care for?
