This is a wonderful VA facility but also better than most civilian hospitals. We travel 5.5 hours each way to receive care through the SCI clinic here. All of the staff are amazing. Nurses, therapists, social workers, aides, from the top down each one acknowledge you as you move throughout the hospital. Our doctor, Dr Neal, is marvelous!. She is always very thorough and respects my time and opinion in my own care. I'm always treated as if I'm a priority. Even the food is above standard hospitals fare. We will always turn to this VA for our medical care. The ENT and speech department are also top notch.

If I could give this place a negative rating I would. I moved here from Seattle and this is the worst v.a I have experienced out of the ones I have used in the country. They never answer the phone. I'm still waiting on a mental health provider for over a year. Was given a wrong diagnosis. Rude employees. Lazy employees. They don't follow through or follow up. I could go on.

Called to make a mental health appointment and was told I couldn't just come in as a walk in. Even though I've been going there for a year. Try to make an appointment with the general doctor to get antidepressants and was told they couldn't do it and call the mental health department. I explained to them that I did but they won't make an appointment. This place is a joke.

They may have moments, but, this is one of the best VA Medical Centers in the nation! Except maybe the ER department. ER dr's and nurses tend to be narcissistic and condescending. Having issues with dermatology but I get they deal with lots of skin cancer.

I think 7-7, I think
Absolutely
That is employee or spinal cord parking visitors must park in the front
But they only do inpatient dialysis all outpatient is done in the community
No you have to make an appointment
I dont go to the ER at the VA unless its by AMBULANCE.. I have been stuck at the waiting room for 2+ hours before and swore it was the last time. And just like you, all I needed was some light medication. The sad thing is, I TOLD THEM, that I may just have a cold, but noooooooo...
If you have been treated at any VA hospital, give them the last 4 of your Social and they can pull up your file. Don't even try to do anything besides going there. You will never be helped otherwise. Hope this helps.
