Treasurer, auditor, assessor, they are all horrible to deal with. They won't even communicate with each other to help you. I already have disabled veterans exemption status, but we bought a new car. Carvana said they would handle everything. We transferred our plates and received our registration and though all was well until we received a tax bill for over $1200 that we're not supposed to receive. I went through the exemption process again, but had to pay the tax until it was approved again then they would send me a refund. 17 weeks later I finally received the approval. But it had the wrong names on it. Got that fixed and was told I would have my refund within 2 weeks. No refund so I called and was told it would be an additional 4 to 6 weeks. That's 6 months for something that should have been automatic just like the registration was if city, county, and state offices would only communicate with each other. They won't even reply to emails or phone calls sometimes. Serious mismanagement in our local government. This can cause people a serious financial hardship. Imagine if you replied to their tax bill and told them it would take you 6 months to pay. Exactly.

Oddly, the people who answered my calls were always friendly and professional, it’s when I tried to contact a supervisor that things got curt. I had to call multiple times and finally email someone else at a Richland County office (also very polite) to get in touch with this supervisor who was cold, curt, rude, and not really helpful at all. I asked a few simple questions and got back a snippy little email that didn’t answer them at all but did scold me. Typically government offices are much better at dealing with military families stationed overseas who are just trying to give them their money. Very frustrated.

I went to this location a week or two ago. 1st NO free parking, but 50 cents got us 42 minutes. Thankfully I had my fiance with me so she could add money to meter if needed. The reason I gave 3 stars is because I was origionally told while i was there that I would have to pay $700 for my Vehicle tax when I was told it would be no more than $490. I went home with the $700 bill and immediately called this location requested to speak to a supervisor since i was told several different things by 2 people. ie ( 45 days to pay when it states 3 times "Pay by 12/31/21. as well as the different amounts, and to see if I could get the school tax waved or at the very least significantly lowered because I dont have any children. I got a supervisor, and she got my bill lowered from $700 to $430. I think the problem was a LONG line and only 2 reps in person. More reps means shorter lines and more time to ACTUALLY do the job correctly. Almost had to move out of state again because I cant afford $700 before even march.

I went to pay my vehicle property tax, you go to the big building, girls don't bring any bags it's not authorized. Then I went first to the auditors so they can generate the bill, I gave my car title and a proof of current address. Then went directly to the treasurer which is in the same room. You can pay through QR code as well, it's up to you. Everything was fast and smooth. I spent roughly 10 minutes in the building.

I just brought a car and need to pay the taxes on it
Yes
Probably not if you have to ask.
How do I apply for it or do I have to be disability I am also a veteran
You have to go to the dmv for that information
I purchased a used vehicle from a friend how do I get a property tax bill.
You can go on the Auditor's website and there is an option to reprint it.
It's the door to the left if you are coming across the complex from the side street.
Usually it will arrive within 2 weeks. Sometimes sooner depending on weather conditions.
Not in this building. Shop Road is where you get the stickers. This building is only for paying for taxes and when you legally registry a vehicle..
I went to the office and found they are closed untill further notice. Go online, it's not to difficult. Employees are working from home. I paid and got my receipt back the next day!
Go to the richland county tax website and they have a way you can search for your bill . Type in the tax year, the name the vehicle is in and the address. You can print it that way
Take the title and bill of sale to 2020 Hampton St. second floor, auditor office. They will process a bill for you.
Need proof of odometer reading. Right now you can't go to property tax office. U can drop off your bill & proof of mileage ( oil change etc. showing reading). Go around the back by the voters registration office. They have a drop box they check daily. Do this 3 to 6 weeks prior to due date. Good luck
When did they start putting liens on texts?
You can call in and have one emailed to you, they can also mail u one or print one out
You can change your address with the DMV online not with the treasury department. If u need to change the address and your taxes for the year have already been paid you would need to change it with the DMV
The state of Texas does not have vehicle taxes. The 75 is just for registration renewal. In SC vehicle taxes are assessed by property value each year plus renewal fee
Yes but at 1.5 fee
If its is your first time registering the car, in this county, in your name, go to the auditors office on the second floor. If you just need to renew your tags, go to the payments desk of the treasurer, which is also on the second floor.
