Great seletion but wayyy understaffed at the weapon pickup and Federal Background check station. I thought it might just be a bad day but several of the other waiting customers say that this has been their experience each time they visit. Kind of makes a great shopping experience suck at the end if you're picking up a firearm. They also misplaced my online order for nearly a month and are nearly impossible to get on the phone.

Such a shame that this place really has gone down hill. Use to have such great customer service, now you can't even get them to call just for a firearm pick up ordered 2 months prior. Lost a returning customer.

So I went to purchase a Retay Gordion 12 gauge 28" barrel shotgun from PSA. Had a younger gentleman show me the gun explained that I would like to purchase it I wanted one from the back that was brand new in the box he said let me go check ended up coming back with one and said you got lucky because this is the last one. Rang everything up and got home noticed it was the wrong barrel length of 26". If you're an avid hunter you can completely understand this need but after feeling completely sick knowing how stores are with returns on firearms in South Carolina I figured I was wasting my time by trying to get it swapped out for the right fire arm. Mr. Phil the manager and Mrs. Amanda the GM were very kind, extremely helpful, and understanding of the mistake that was made and swapped the fire arm out for me for what I originally wanted. In my life I've never experienced anything like this and if I could give this review 10 stars I would from the excellent customer service they gave me! Will be back for many years to come! Thanks again Amanda and Phil!

Came to the store to browse the selection, as my dad, & 2 brothers approached the store, the manager called for all available gun members to the front. I guess the manager has a problem with black people and their money. It’s a shame.

Range fees are $10 per half hour, $20 for all day. Each additional guest sharing a lane will be charged an $8 guest fee per half hour, $15 for all day. Maximum of three (3) people can share a lane.
yes that store is terrible. I bought 4 at kits. it took them an hour to locate 4 kits of the same type. total, I was there for 2.5 hours and didnt need a background. they only reason I go to psa is because the price is right. I think I will just order online or not at all from them anymore
Yes they do
Retirees must attend training with a qualified L.E. Agency to meet the annual training requirements to be protected under the LEOSA, formerly known as HR 218. I am a LE retiree, and here in South Carolina i must attend a "Legal Update" and a Range qualification to keep my credentials valid so i can conceal carry under the LEOSA. I would suggest talking with your Agency training person more about this. Every agency i know has policy and procedures for retireees and LEOSA status. Hope this helps. Good Luck
75 bucks for full day (8-hours class) or split in two days.
Also, the store in Columbia is open every day except Christmas and Thanksgiving. Mon-Sat 10-8 and Sun 10-6
You can bring your own ammunition and of course they would like you to buy theirs but if you got it you shoot it
Damned, guess that just sucks.
Yes, there is not an age restriction to enter our storefronts.
Thank be seen the occasional dog in the shop,so I’d expect as long as the pup is leashed and behaves well,it won’t be a problem.
Following SC requirements. Mask if you want. Store wasnt full, so no concern there
You can't legally build any semi-automatic pistol in CaliforniaIt has to be bolt action or break top

No sir, we do not offer gunsmithing services.
No sir, there is no such change to the current law.
I would suggest calling them or email since Google may not be their primary communication point.
This link will help. you will need a FFL dealerhttps://palmettostatearmory.com/faqs#OrdersAndShipping
Watch a YouTube video. It’s stupid easy
Best if you call them.
Yes, We welcome animals as long as they are leashed.
There's no fee if you bought it on psa website and got it sent to store. If not, it's either $25 or $50 I believe .
You have to pick up at the online store. Call them for directions.
Wednesday.
Yes
The sign inside said you can rent one I believe it said $10 to do so
Yes
You can bring your own , "unload", and safied weapon. Make sure to call when bring your own ammo. Some of the more powerful rounds are not allowed do to the damage to the range.
Hey Michael - the range is open at 10AM until and will allow you to until 7:30PM. It is $10 to shoot for half an hour or $20 to shoot as long as you'd like on a single visit.
No, the range is open during normal business hours. And they have a ladies night on Wednesday's.
Hi Freddie - any valid ID will work. No state-specific requirements.
Palmetto Armory is a firearms retailer and they have a indoor shooting range. Pricing varies based on membership. Membership is not required.
Hi Stanley - you can check the schedule for upcoming classes here: https://psadefense.com/
I don't see why not. They have chairs and you're able to shoot from a seated position.
Contact PSA and ask them how to get that done. Some places will give you an electronic copy to send, other FFL's will send it themselves. I'd be surprised if TSG didn't already have a copy of PSA's.
Hi Jessica - our range is 25 yards long. You can still zero your rifle here by using a ballistic calculator. Here's a great article about how you can do that. https://www.americanhunter.org/articles/2014/2/4/the-26-yard-hunting-zero/
I know yoi can rent guns there fairly inexpensively...
Sort of. You may order a gun online, but it will not ship to you. The gun ordered will be sent to a licensed dealer near you. The Federally Licensed Dealer will facilitate the actual transfer of the firearm by having you fill out all necessary paperwork and then running the required background check.
You buy the ammo and you can bring your own gun or rent one. There are restrictions on the guns you can bring. I would call and get specifics on that. Then you rent range time by the hour.
Hey Ted - Depends on what you rent, but the average gun rental is $10 plus the cost of ammo.
Hey Marc - we do not currently offer layaway.
Yes in a case for long guns and handguns unless u have a cwp you can carry concealed
I'm pretty sure it's free to ship the fire arm to them as long as it's ordered from their site. I ordered a stripped lower and had it shipped to them and there was no extra charge
6 years old and up
Almost. They're open when the store opens but the range closes at least 30 minutes before closing time each day.
130gr Fusion does well for me. Nailed a 220lb buck earlier in the year with it. Penetration and expansion are both perfectly adequate.
No green tipped or steel core bullets or buckshot. Shotgun slugs are allowed and rifles up to 30-06.
They used to, but appears they have removed from website
No
Store hours are Monday through Saturday, 10am-8pm, and Sunday 10am-6pm. The range will let the last shooters on the range no later than 7:30pm Monday through Saturday and no later than 5:30pm on Sunday prior to the store closing.
Yes Sir. Anything up to a 30-06 can be zero'ed on the indoor range. Zeroing targets aval on range. If you need assistance making adjustments please ask the range staff. Palmetto Oudoor in Swansea has a 300 meter outdoor range (Swansea location not open Mondays).
Bummer. Ever get through?
