2nd experience. 2020 I love the coops and what they represent and offer to the community. Somehow this coop feels that unless you have been coming to them for food every month that there's no way for them to help you if your gas is about to get turned off? God forbid you try to do it yourself and make things work yourself Instead of coming every month when you don't need food. When you finally get the nerve to ask for help, they spit at you. I think that's wrong and has nothing to do with God.just my opinion. I literally could not believe they turned me away. I would NEVER come back here. Horrible experience both times I needed help. 1st experience. 2018 My kids and I were homeless and I had no way to work with no daycare and a car on the brink of quiting on me. My kids were 2/3 at the time. I came here to get help with a room. The lady somehow figured out that I had gotten help from lawrenceville, called them and asked is what she did and then in the lobby in front of everybody degraded me so horribly that I almost cried. I was so humiliated I walked out and got in my car and started breaking down. The lady came outside and Apologized to me and asked me to come back inside. I told her nah I'm good. She asked again and i told her it's hard having to ask for help, being belittled for doing so is the worse thing she could do to a person in need. She said her boss reminded her that we all fall from grace. ( no ish) they helped me out but I pray I never have to come back here.
