I scheduled a quote for a new system, I was told by the techs that someone would be reaching out with my estimate. It's been 2 days and I haven't heard anything. I am giving 3 stars because they were early which I liked,It was free for them to come out and look, but I didnt get my quote. And since I haven't heard I couldn't give more stars. I had to take my service elsewhere. Other companies gave me quotes on the spot maybe this company should try to do that so they don't lose potential clients. (I ended up buying a system the same day bc mine didn't work at all)

I waited over a year to write this review because I wanted to see how my new hvac system would function. I am very happy with the service Honest Air provided. We probably had 10 quotes before choosing this company and I’m so glad we did. The owner (there are two I think) explained everything in simple terms; I appreciated that. I’d recommend them to anybody.

Gas air conditioning units are not "all gas." ... The furnace is the only unit in the central air conditioning system that is fueled by gas. The condenser is powered by electricity. Both are required to operate the system, and in most homes, the air conditioning runs in a split system.

How does temperature transfer in an HVAC system?

Honest Air Fayetteville NC | Sep 26, 2020
Honest Air Fayetteville NC | Sep 26, 2020

Air conditioners rely on temperature transfers to remove heat from indoor spaces and expel it outdoors. A fan blows warm air from an indoor space across the refrigerant-filled evaporator coils, and the refrigerant inside changes into a vapor.

How does central heat and air work?

Centralized AC delivers conditioned air to your entire house through ductwork. With a forced-air system, a furnace warms the air, an air conditioner cools the air, a heat pump either warms or cools the air, and then a blower forces the heated or cooled air through the system and out into the living spaces.

HVAC is Heating , Ventilation and Air Conditioning. In an HVAC system , we maintain temperature , Humidity , Airflow and pressure for the area covered under the system. The temperature is maintained as per the convenience. 24 Deg C for human comfort. Humidity is maintained anywhere between 30 to 60% . Airflow to make sure that there is correct airflow throughout space and also to ensure that there is sufficient intake of fresh air. Slight positive pressure is maintained to reduce air infiltration. Various equipment used to maintain an HVAC system are : Chiller: It is basically used to pull down the water temperature. This cold water is further used for cooling the conditioned area Pumps: To circulate the hot/cold water through the building Boilers: To circulate hot water in low ambient areas which require heating instead of cooling. 4. AHU i.e Air Handling unit: Hot /Cold water goes to the AHU . In the AHU temperature exchange will happen between water and air. The air then heats/cools the conditioned area. 5. Humidifiers /Dehumidifiers : For maintaining the humidity levels

How does an HVAC operate?

In the simplest of ways to answer ( reader’s digest version), an HVAC system is NOT a magic box that makes cold air. It's a highly uncomplicated machine that takes heat from one place and moves it to another through heat transfer. The hardest part of my explanation will be to not get overly complicated. Through the use of refrigerant, the heat is removed from the object (i.e. air, liquid, etc.) and transferred away. The heat is dissipated through any one of a number of processes. If you will notice, during this process, there is no mention of “cold” air being produced. In fact, there is no such thing as cold. An object becomes perceivably cold when enough heat is removed.
