Tasty wines and wonderful views. Other reviewers commenting on "crazy roads" or "way out there" are obviously boring people from flat and boring cities. The roads were normal for the area and just fine. The winery and vineyard is 13 minutes from highway 49 via La Barr Meadows, or 12 minutes from downtown Grass Valley via 174 and Rattlesnake Rd. Signage getting to the winery from Rattlesnake and Brooks is excellent (if you don't see Lucchesi signs you're going the wrong way). The boutique winery and vineyard are nestled in the foothills with a stunning, panoramic view of the sierras. Miles was a groovy guy who gave us our tasting and introduced us to the vineyard dogs. Our favorite wines were the cabernet sauvignon and the reserve zinfandel. Recommend bringing some snacks or a picnic with you, as they do not serve food.
