I have nothing but good things to say about our experience with the Mocksville SECU and our interactions with Sarah Elder. She helped guide us through the process of securing funds for building a new home. She was very knowledgeable regarding all the laws, permits etc. She took great care to protect our interest and privacy throughout the process and she did so professionally and compassionately. Sometimes the news wasn’t what we hoped to hear but she was able to offer alternatives that worked for us. I will be returning to her for all my future financial needs.

My wife and I are first time homebuyers, we originally had a great mortgage officer in our corner but the bank said there was a conflict of interest. We got stuck with Sarah Elder. She was very condescending, rude, treated my wife and I like we were in the real estate business for years, horrible communication skills, refused to work with our real estate agent and our insurance provider. I pray that no one who is purchasing thier first home gets stuck with her.

I had the best banking experience ever on Wednesday April 21st. Taylor was very helpful and kind! I had lots of questions and she answered them all with no hesitation. Thank you Taylor.

Loophole. Go to the public library and ask to be a friend of the library and make a minimum donation of $6. They will then give you a voucher for a shareholders account through SECU. SECU requires a $25 deposit to open the account.
