Feel really disappointed with Henson's. I wanted to support a local lumber company. Was told to talk to Jeff to get the Whole Home Package. I talked to Jeff several weeks ago and said to call a few days beforehand to get an order delivered to me. I called on Friday morning and said I needed a delivery for Tuesday, since I was going to have contractors ready to work. He said that he didn't have a moffet driver on that day. It would either be Mon, Wed, or Friday. I chose first thing Wednesday. I texted on Friday, Monday, and Tuesday for an invoice. Never received one. On Tuesday, he informs me that the moffet driver is not available. He could drive it on a flat bed for Wednesday delivery. I live in a place where some flat beds might not be able to make it all the way up this small road. I was feeling frustrated with the lack of communication. We argued on the phone today. It seemed like he hung up and then he texted me apologizing, saying that they're backed up and there are deeper things at play. I said I was still willing to deal with Henson's on these conditions, which I think would be reasonable a) some sort of significant discount b) get it delivered first thing tomorrow morning c) truck could fit on my road d) get me the invoice within a few hours. He said the truck was a 4 x 4. Wrote "Gotcha". Never got any other texts to acknowledge whether he could do those things, which I thought was super explicit. Feeling angry and frustrated. I lost building time...luckily contractors aren't billing me for lost time, but nonetheless frustrated about pushing back the framing. Going to go into Home Depot to order materials tomorrow. Wish there was way better communication.
