While out in CA helping to clean up after the fires, I visited this store - it was awesome and their oils were so smooth and flavor-able... but what really caught my eye was the beautiful wood products they have made from fallen olive trees ----- I brought a bunch back to Kansas --- they are a great conversation piece (s)

Just have had very difficult time with the sales staff in the mail order dept. They have sold items to me “on special” that were advertised on daily e-newsletters and then they said they were ‘out of stock’ and I said fine I can wait for the back order. The staff kept insisting I take a substitute oil and could not explain why I could not wait or be provided what I ordered. When I tried to explain it was a genuine offer and acceptance (they offered: I accepted and paid) I was just treated badly by the junior staff. I emailed her to speak to her manager. Nothing. I actually wasted so much of my time trying to resolve the issue and work with a small business. The staff just pushed the order aside and ignored it. In frustration, I called and cancelled the order, which is actually what they wanted, so they had no obligation to fulfil. All I did was make an order at the prompting of their email marketing as a return and repeat good customer. Sadly, I suspect they had no intention of being responsible for correctly filling the orders their web site took. I have no clue how they can work this way. I am majorly disappointed, out my time, and just feel like an idiot for trying to patronise a small brick and mortar business.

Hi July, this is Liz with Spring 2022 update for you and all others with this same question. The Tasting Room and mill on Loleta were permanently closed in 2019, however, the brand lives on. We've reopened as American Olive Farmer as an online shop only so we can continue to offer olive oil from the original orchards and vinegar the exacting standards you've come to expect. I have been with the brand since February 2008 and look forward to serving you.
Hello Lynn, Thank you for your comment. I cannot find a time stamp on your post, however, hope you can see my reply. The permanent closure of both the Tasting Room and mill Spring 2019 were devastating news for all concerned to be sure. GOOD NEWS: I've been able to restart business as an online only offer as of a few weeks ago (Spring 2022). I look forward to the opportunity to be part of your pantry once again. - Liz
Hello Cathlene, that is a terrific question. As you might already know, the business was closed Spring 2019 and has reopened as of a few weeks ago. We don't yet have a recipe section, however, will be working on pairings and serving suggestions over the next few months. Blackberry and other similar forest fruits would work wonderfully for deglazing meat, especially pork and chicken. If you have lemon olive oil, you'll find it another lovely pairing. A quick note about pomegranate is that it is a classic pairing with chicken. I hope to have more to say about both when we have our website fully functional again. Thanks for writing. - Liz
Hello John, My name is Liz and I've been with the brand since 2008, most recently as the general manager and minority shareholder from 2015-2020. In late 2020 my husband and I acquired the brand in full, and we've changed the company from "Lucero Olive Oil, American Olive Farmer" to "American Olive Farmer, Home of Lucero Olive Oil". We have additional information about us on the website.
Hello Ric, I've deleted my former answer to let everyone know that we no longer have a wholesale presence in Chico. The brand is available exclusively online at AmericanOliveFarmer.com. Thank you for your understanding. - Liz
