I went in to get hair dye and such. The couple that owns the store are still very serious about covid. They have sanitizer at the front door. They are wearing masks and will not walk the full distance to show you where the clothed mannequin items are located. They are Asian and strictly avoiding covid. I had intended on purchasing a body suit with a ruched front but they did not have my size. The store was full of inventory; I noticed nothing missing. The dye I get is usually out of stock but they had it so I went ahead and got 2 to save a future trip to wilson as this store is priced way more affordable in comparison to Goldsboro Greenville and Raleigh. All the people complaining about the owners being racist... The owners chose to open that location knowing wilson has a very small Asian population. And these claiming racism are the key demographic for this store. I know for a fact this location has been open since at the very least 2004.. If they catch an attitude -guaranteed you did or said or wore something to start it. And yes they watch you like hawks but that's everyone that comes into their store AND any asian owned store anywhere. Don't take offense to it. Go order Chinese food and stay and wait. I bet they watch you like a hawk. It's called culture. It's part of mexican culture as well. We aren't (always) judging. we are observing and learning. Don't act like this is the only place youve ever been stared at before. I didn't make a mockery of myself and I used the phrases "please", and "Thank you". I was respectful in their store and they were just two very strict Asians running a business theyve had forever. And honestly because of this particular location its actually obvious that they have been robbed and/or had many people steal over the years. This is the exact reason that I purposefully went in with only my keys and wallet because I am familiar with this area and their history
