I love this park. Many hikes of varying difficulty. Trails well-marked. It’s especially nice in the off-season when the weather is cooler and the parking lot is far less crowded. I went in December and the only issues were a couple of icy patches and some mud up near the reservoir, but hiking sticks were adequate to traverse those. Update October 2021: It is obvious that some of the trails have been cleaned up (when I was there a few months ago, some trails were overgrown with tall grass and fallen logs) and new trail markers were put up (the nails are still shiny). This park is incredibly well-maintained considering its size. Photo from Hawk Rock at the top of the yellow trail. Absolutely worth the effort.

Absolutely beautiful here, walk by the lake is beautiful and the paths are clean and wide, the views are great, not a lot of benches around if you want to sit and enjoy the view but it’s okay, parking lot is very big and flat so it’s easy to spot the empty parking, the bathrooms are located on the entrance of the park, they are not bad. Weekdays are not too busy but weekends are very busy, the waterfall is worth the walk, but my favorite is the lake! You can also do camping if you want!

An excellent place to walk along trails that preserve nature in all its splendor.

The reservoir up top is always a popular swimming spot in the summer, while you may not be "allowed" to swim no one will likely tell you that you cannot
I would say like good 15 to 20 minutes walk
Swimming, no. But the lake at top of trails is good to dip your feet in or relax in the water. Nice for dogs too. I've even seen people training their toddlers with floaties because of how conveniently shallow the water is. Good things never last; please dont bring obnoxious friends or acquaintances. Act responsibly.
Yes, but you need to get a permit first for camping, even if it's day camping. Go on their website and you'll be able to do it from there. Hope this helps.
No I didn't see anyone kayaking. Morever I saw the board saying 'swimming and fishing not permitted'.
Free but it's best to go early parking is difficult to find the lot is small
No, only walking, running, hiking, fishing, snowshoeing, you can bring you dog.
I've been there as early as 6:30 AM, with the gates open and others present/parked. The official hours list that it will be closed, but I haven't run into trouble. Gotta say though - more bugs are around at dawn and dusk. May want to wait.
Yes
It's definitely mainly a hiking place rather than a biking place. There's really only the loop around the lake that you could bike. My advice: don't come here for a bike ride; you'll be disappointed! But if you come here to walk It's fantastic! My favorite place for a good walk!
Yes. A flat trail around the lake.
No
No
Yes I do I took a picture of the camping regulations I will post it right now! Hope this helps
No, ice skating isn't allowed there.
Main restrooms at the parking lot open today. Also Porta pottys were open.
Is this snake lake off of 202 I use to go there as a kid
in the lake its stocked with trout
Bicycles are allowed on some trails in nearby Ringwood Skylands Manor
Doubt full not 100 they ate getting strick every where
There are hours posted on the front
Park close @ sunset.
They close at dusk technically, but the actual time depends on the season. Instead of explaining all that on the site it gives 6pm as the generic average time
You can only be in the park a half hour before sunset. Check google for that time. Past that you run into the chance of park patrol kicking you out.
