4 stars and only for the amazing staff in the partial program especially Dr.Tiffany Hughes-Eagen!! And that is because hopefully things will get better in the future and the partial staff work hard! She is the best psychiatrist i have ever had!! Actually the best psychiatrist Scranton Counseling ever had! I had her in outpatient before they pulled her to partial and ACT team and i never had a dr who listened and cared so much about each of their patients as much as her! If Scranton Counseling knows what’s good for them they will make sure they hire more like her! They also need to hire more therapists for the partial program to make it run more efficiently! The staff do the best they can but some days i swear if it wasnt for the master’s level interns helping out they might lose their heads and might not be able to meet the needs of all their patients especially if someone is having a bad day and need to speak to a therapist! PARTIAL NEEDS MORE STAFFING!!!! ANOTHER MASTERS LEVEL THERAPIST!!!! Especially since partial is continuously growing! There is no reason that psych rehab gets a million staff and a million rooms for their program and we are shoved in a corner with 3 tiny rooms that alot of the days the entire program doesnt fit in one room without people having anxiety attacks!!! It isnt the staffs’ fault they are doing their best but with only three therapists they dont have enough staffing to split groups as of right now! Also, get outpatient groups! As the only public mental health facility in the area you should be having groups that are able to be attended on an outpatient basis for specific things such as lgbtq+ support, depression, anxiety, anger management, so on and so forth. (Also THEY NEED TO HIRE MORE PSYCHIATRIST SO THEY CAN GET RID OF OLD MAN DR. RAHMEN! HE IS THE EPITOME OF EVIL!!!) Hopefully this new CEO will turn this place around….. Honestly if you were here years ago it is definitely different and from the things i have heard the new CEO has a lot of good things in mind for this place but rome wasnt built in a day so I suggest giving the place a chance and waiting it out and see what happens. The new CEO has not been here long and the old person who destroyed the place and didnnt care about patient care is gone so give the place a chance.

The new location is state of the art. SCC handled tele-health well. Being quarantined in unprecedented times, was a change for us all. The one therapist had covid and still kept my appointment when they were sick! Same thing with the doctor, they got sick from the vaccine and still kept my appointment! If that's not caring for your patients, then I don't know what is!
