More than once I've purchased meat 4-5 days before the "sell by date" and once I opened the package the next day, the most PUTRID smell of rotting meat wafted out. I can't get the scent out of my hands and nose, I don't understand why they're selling spoiled meat. Don't come here for meat unless you want to throw it out. And the produce is so overpriced.

My daily go to market for dinner needs. Average prices but compared to lincoln market its heaven. Still I head to the fruit stand for my veggies and salads.

Been shopping here for over 20 years and staff have always been surly. I've just come to expect it. I know the job can be miserable; I worked for a major supermarket chain in the West (Safeway) all through college and I hated every minute of it. That said, we were required to be friendly and polite to the customers and would have been fired if we behaved like these folks.
