Racial profiling I walked in to the 1239 St Nicholas Ave New York, NY 10032 Key food around 3:45pm and I was asked to give my bag to the employee. I said "even if my bag is empty?" He said "yes". I then asked "Am I supposed to come back when it time for me to check out?" He said "Yes". I complied and gave in my bag for the ticket, however, I saw multiple customers in the grocery store walking around with their own recyclable bags and bags filled with groceries from other stores. I feel racially profiled as a dark skin black women. I am all for following store policy but it's very disappointing to see those policies not enforced on other customers as well. I recommend your staff take bias training and you all try to do better for the people in the community who support your grocery stores. I did not purchase anything in the end and left in tears.

walked into the store and was immediately stopped by the doorman. She was told she could not come in without giving him her empty bags. She gave them up. However, upon walking around the store, she noticed a ton of people had empty or even filled bags and was never even noticed. I want to emphasize that she is dark skinned. We live in a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood and yet the only one stopped was my dark skinned fiance? This is completely unacceptable especially since this is one of the only places in the neighborhood we can to for groceries. For reference, this happened at the store: 1239 St Nicholas Ave New York, NY 10032 at around 3:45.
