Avoid if you can - Most doctors no longer accept this insurance because of their poor practices. They have declined so many of my bills I’ve lost track. Worst insurance company I’ve come across.

I have have no complaints about this insurance.

It’s not a place but a health plan. It's a great health plan. Very friendly and professional. They combine your Medicare and Medicaid insurance plans into one easy card to show the doctors at the lobby If you’re below the poverty level and are disabled you will never pay even a dime for your health costs. They have a contract with Medicare/Medicaid.. Dental and vision care included. Includes prescriptions. Premiums are taken out of your Social Security monthly payment amount. My complete monthly premiums are around less than $150.00 and if you do direct deposit you never see the premium. Note: I have recently switched to United Healthcare Dual Complete plan due to Assisted Living Facility recommendation. It’s been since February 2,2022 and I already don’t like it so I may return to Neighborhood Health soon. I am constantly receiving bills in my United Health Portal. $650.00 for a visit to my eyeglass store for glasses and the exam??? My previously owned RayBans where half that cost. I’m not paying it as I know it’s covered but the “kid” in customer service at United said “you can always appeal it!” I said that I was not going to appeal each bill. “It’s your job to bill me properly” so it’s barely been 2 months so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt as so far, I haven’t heard from them. I never liked them as millions of dollars in lawsuits for fraudulently charging Medicare have been settled. Neighborhood Health said I could re-enroll anytime I wanted to so if I get anymore bills, I will drop them. Well, I did it. Returned to Neighborhood Health May 1st it starts United Healthcare will pay my bills until the end of April so no gap in coverage. I just felt that United Healthcare was too big and every time I called I was passed around the Country! UPDATE: 05/03/2022. I finally had enough and re-enroled May 1 /2022 in Neighborhood Health Integrity plan. Many reasons to leave United healthcare. Glad I made the move. Feels much better than United healthcare knowing I won't have to fight with them

Find another Doctor or ask why he/she won't authorize another refill because some medications are only meant to be used for a short period and if refilled too many times could cause you more harm than good. It's good to ask questions. If the doctor doesn't give you a reason then he is not the kind of doctor you want. Doctors need to answer their patient's questions. Did the doctor give you a reason? Sometimes an insurance company will not pay for a refill and that causes the patient to pay out of pocket and some doctors won't request another refill because of that. Or maybe he/she feels you're addicted to it, or can be. Especially if it's a prescription for morphine or other similar meds. Communication is the key.
I know what you mean I too had this problem that's why I'm now with United health of Rhode Island.
Dentist I need
Get CPT codes from your doctor and call their customer service line ..give the codes and they will tell you. Also if u have a private plan ..be ready to pay for this radiology service and only provider can tell u the price or cost..NHPRI can't give price to all services. That's your answer..btw u might need a prior with for a service like this one.
If you are a member, you should call the customer service line on the back of your card for help. Member Services will help you determine your next action.
Yes. For the details (# of treatments, participating providers, etc) call Member Services.
I had to take my son while visiting Florida as well they said the state I live in they dont take there insurance so stuck with a ER bill as well
I don't work for neighborhood health integrity but they cover all mental health Psychiatrist, Social Workers, CNA's I'm a patient and use them. I'm not sure about substance abuse but I believe they cover at least maybe a couple of weeks. Google : Neighborhood Health and you'll be able to ask them anything. I don't even have co-pays but I have Medicaid from the state and I don't know if they pay anything. I pay zero dollars for my mental health disability insurance and doctor, hospitals like Butler's which is a mental health hospital. They pay for 2 weeks. Neighborhood Health is Medicare and Medicaid combined in one plastic card. Call them. It may depend on income elegebility. Good Luck!
call nhpri to verify eligibility
Your dentist had to call them
Www.nhpri.org and hit find a doctor
It's easy to find out. Contact your pharmacy. They will tell you what your plan covers. Unfortunately, most over the counter meds are not covered by insurance. Sometimes certain over the counter meds may be covered if you have a doctors prescription. Call or visit your pharmacy.
There's one in Woonsocket that's takes nhpri
I go to Women's Collaborative it's over by the Providence post office, I love them.
I believe they will pay up to the allowed amount. You would be responsible for the difference
Sorry but I didn't work there.
Yes, you may. NHPRI covers out of state emergency room, and urgent care services. If you have an Exchange/Commercial plan, you will be liable for the cost share (copay/DED) listed for your plan. Out of state providers are able to balance bill Exchange/Commercial subscribers. You can find this information in the members section of nhpri.org
Call the member service line .. NHPRI does not activate or disconnect services if you have insurance from the state .. if so ... call HSRI or arrive at your local human service dept office
