So anotherwards, to all the people that never owned a pet or don't have records, they don't get a chance to adopt.RIP Ringo. My exes parents adopted from here and after they past away I took Ringo to live with me and he was fine until shortly after having him his eye shut.i tried treatments first but there was nothing they could do. I rushed him to the hospital twice and they recommended to put him to sleep because of a progressive rapid tumor in the eye. He only lived 7 years after adopting from here. I did everything I could and I'm heartbroken.

I was really interested in adopting one specific cat. But because I never had a car before and only dogs, I guess I wasn’t qualified despite being a suitable foster parent with a child free, dog free, household. I also don’t like how they treat the animals they keep at pets mart, and even some of the employees agreed! Also, look how they respond to reviews, they’re very rude! I guess they either like you and treat you with kindness or they treat you like a bother. No in between!

My husband and I had the best experience last year (January 2021) when we adopted our two senior cats from Halfway Home. Our cats are delightful. I'm grateful that HHR accepted our application and we are giving "The Girls" their best life imaginable. This photo was taken on the day they arrived in our home, shy and hiding in the bathroom. They have blossomed since then! Thank you Halfway Home, for everything.

Beware!!!! Rudest people I’ve ever dealt with !! I was treated down right inhumanly by these people . They refused to answer questions with dignity , and were extremely unprofessional. Do not give money to this organization!! Perhaps they should better check their volunteers before sending them to deal with the public . Especially caring people trying to give pets a forever home . I will forever not be ever dealing with this organization again. Sadly for the pets , I hope they rethink their volunteers and their attitudes . Animals will be stuck in small cages with lack of a home due to the treatment these people give their adoptees . This is not looking out for the welfare of the animal .

Our organization is staffed by volunteers. All volunteers work full time M-F so adoption events are held on Saturdays and Sundays. Please check out Facebook page for weekly events.
He would probably need to have someone go with him because as far as I know a teenager is allowed to start working at any of these institutions at 16-years-old. But I suggest that you call them at the number they have here, go over there personally and speak to someone from the reception desk or check their website for more information.
Miriam Leon you are incorrect. We do not charge surrender fees. Any and all questions should be direct to our rescue by email or phone. Only volunteers can accurately answer questions.
Adopters must be at least 21 years of age to adopt from our organization.
Hi there- we are located in Connecticut. It seems you’re trying to reach Halfway Home Cat Rescue in MA. We are not affiliated.
Hi there, We do not have a public shelter facility. Once we approve an adoption application, families are invited to attend an adoption event or set up a meeting.
