We visited on a rainy weekday afternoon in late September and had the place pretty much to ourselves. The museum holds several rooms of beautiful and fascinating timepieces, all nicely displayed. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly and even provided some excellent recommendations for diners and restaurants.

Very good collection of antique clocks. The hall that houses the tall clocks or grandfather clocks is very impressive and worth spending extra time to wait for some of the clocks to chime. The staff is very friendly and personable. They are redoing their parking lot so I would expect improvement on that in the future. Will definitely bring friends who are interested in antique clocks to visit.

My 9-year old son and I had a wonderful visit here. We were there when they were winding some of the clocks and took time to explain the process to us. The scavenger hunt was fun and helped us notice many things we otherwise would not have seen. We visited several museums here in CT this summer, but this one was our favorite.

If you live anywhere near the Hartford area this is a place you should go if you want to learn about clocks. The collection is massive. There is every kind of clock ever made in the building over several floors. A very interesting stop.
