They have lost that loving feeling. After being a client for 7 years this establishment is not reliable anymore. In the last 2 years they have gone from the best Vet in the area to just being a business. They don’t give that special care anymore to your pet or the pet owner and looking at a lot of these reviews I am not alone. My advice to Colchester Vet is do not take on more than you can chew. I understand you have to make money. But your attitude is - Oh well there will be another. Not nice when you have people and there pets that are loyal. Oh did mention I would drive 32 miles to this establishment. That the respect I HAD for them. My pet means everything to me as I’m sure others. I interview Veterinarians before I bring her anywhere. They don’t seem to like that very much. But you would be surprised if the answers I get to some of my questions. 5 interviews - 4 were arrogant. These are our pets !

Been bringing my dog Destiny here for years now and can not tell you how happy I still am.. you can call them at 6 AM every day no matter if it’s a holiday or not, to get an appointment that same day for urgent care… Dr. Walker and Dr. McLaughlin are two of my favorites but all the doctors are pretty good there..

Found strays and tried to book under my husband’s established account with CV but they wouldn’t take “new patients” for months. Despite contacting them during their designated emergency hours, they would not see us. Was there a wait, I asked? They said again we don’t see “new patients.” This has happened three separate times (I kept an open mind and tried them three times over several years, but this seems to be the status quo for them). While I’m sure they take good care of the animals as my husband attests, it seems this practice instead prioritizes safety and predictability.
