NICE PLANTS, NICE GARDENERS, OUTRAGEOUS LABOR PRICES I bought three boxwoods (each about 1 1/2 feet high) to put in the front of my house, a smallish area of less 100 sq ft. I asked for help transporting and planting (as everything I plant myself dies)! The boxwoods and a small amount of peat moss and Holly-tone together cost about $420. The labor cost I was given was also $420. At the garden center, I thought the sum high but was told that it would take 2 men at least 1/2 day to do the job. In short, the actual planting took one man (only one) about 1 hour and 15 minutes. I do realize there is travel time and that the employee had to load a truck (put some dirt and pick up three plants). In the end, I calculate that Meadowbrook charged me over $210/hour for labor, if not more. Please know that I did try to discuss the issue with Meadowbrook, twice. I went back to the garden center first- but 'the owner' was not there. I also called in the following days. (Note: the garden center did not call me, even though I left my number.) The person I talked with-- a senior manager- said there was nothing he could do. I will never go back to this garden center. While I am always willing to pay fair prices to those who do the work, I balk when I am cheated.

Sharyn, we grow our own in a 5" pot they are large landscape sized plants. They are $7.49 or 10 for $70. We also have 4in PW @ $6.99 or 10 for $65
Yes we do.
Yes, Meadowbrook has Knockout roses; we got a wonderfully full & symmetrical bush a week or so ago.
