The ongoing construction definitely made the visit not worth it as most areas in the entire building were closed. I was looking forward to checking out the iconic architecture design in person but the overall vibe is not my thing even though I really liked it in those case study books I read.

A pity that when we went it was under renovation and we couldn't access all the floors

I couldn't give it 5 stars because I unfortunately caught the museum when they were switching out exhibitions. Therefore there were only 2 floors open. Fortunately they tell you before you enter and pay, and the admission cost is discounted to $14 (instead of $25). However, one of the floors was still with seeing, the other was not in my opinion.
I'm really bummed about my timing for this museum. I would not go again if they only have 2 floors open. From what I saw from previous reviews and pictures, it looks awesome when it's fully up and running.

I looked up this movie briefly, have not seen it. What I can say factually, the Guggenheim Museum is one of the finest museums in the world! The architecture from Frank Lloyd Eright, the beautiful works in their collection, and having just visited there one week ago, it is so clean with wonderful, caring and brilliant staff! Along with the other top NYC museums, Metropolitan, Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney, there's no doubt why the Google Museum is among the top five in NYC! Definitely, visit these top museums and certainly with the Guggenheim open at this time, is taking care of their visitors very well.
Hello!!! I would like to know please in what hours and day of the week, the entrance to the museum is free?

Saturdays between 5-8pm is almost free ... that is, donations are accepted. When you enter you are asked how much do you like to donate? Usually ask for $ 10 up. But if you do not want to pay, you do not pay
There is a discount for veterans. The museum just requires you to have an id for proof
Are there days when free entry?

Try looking on the contact page of their website or Facebook
From the web (the same info we got when we asked at the information desk): Every Saturday, from 5–7:45 pm, you can pay what you wish for admission (cash only). Suggested admission is $10 and the last ticket is issued at 7:15 pm. Remember that City Pass has the option Top of the Rock or Guggenheim.
When I visited the museum it was by the end of october during the morning. It wasn't very crowded and you could walk around perfectly. I encourage going during the mornings just when it opens.
The website doesn't mention anything about a guest ticket at half off. I would assume if your a member and the individual institution provides that benefit than you should be given the same rights and privileges...
The current exhibition at the Guggenheim in N.Y.C. features Art and China after 1989 and Joseph Albert in Mexico. I don't recall having seen Motherwell's 'Elegy to the Spanish Republic No. 110' there recently.
thanks but on the site it is really written that the exhibitions are changing and that the "to the ramps" access is closed. yes you can probably use the elevators but maybe not the spiral ramp ... if that's a pity it's the beauty of the museum!
