I Have worked as a nurse for 18 years and 8 of them in a Assisted living , I accepted a position on the 3rd day I was met with harassment and hostile work environment, for the building to be new it looked worn down and they had no management or own staff as agency was used more than the regular, which is sad because it has so much potential to be a beautiful place , They are losing valuable staff and keeping the the ones they should of let go along time ago, I felt I needed to share a true review and not from a bunch of staff members that only wanted to improve there ratings

Spent the day there today with my Dad. Staff are helpful, personable and friendly. Our Seniors should all be treated like this.

The apartments are very spacious. My mom was able to bring a large loveseat and over sized chair with a few end tables in the living area. Also placed a round dining table with 2 chairs in the same area. The nurses and caregivers have pretty much stayed the same for the 6 months my mom has been here. This has given us the opportunity to establish good relationships. This also has been the case for all of the other staff in StoryPoint. Very friendly and always willing to help with any questions we have. The activity staff has encouraged my mom to participate in many of the games, entertainment and exercise events provided on a daily basis. She has something to look forward to each day. I will say it is important to have family as advocates to make sure all needs are taken care of and addressed, especially in those first few weeks/months after moving in. This of course is with any facility where an elderly person is being taken care of. Those advocates have to keep on top of medical issues, billing charges, etc. The move to StoryPoint for my mom has overall been a good experience.
