If you received it because of having a child in your home... then yes. It will be cut. But if you are on disability and receive the assistance for yourself. Then no. You will remain on it. It really depends on each case bc they're all different

My suggestion is to go into the HUD office get an application And then turn it in. It's a good start however, unfortunately, due to the current shutdown HUD has been out of commission too cuz it's a confederal office. however if you don't mind my suggestion I would also try to get it her in with integrated services. They could help her get on shelter plus care which is a separate thing oh, it does fall under HUD, however, that could get her help quicker than waiting for HUD.

I would fill out an application for Athens Metropolitan Housing. They have a few appartment complexes for primarily poor, disabled, and elderly people, and give special attention to people facing homelessness. They also have other appartments and houses available. Rent at all of them is based on income. They helped me find housing when I was having health problems and had nowhere to go. I hope they can help you too, sir.

You can't withold rent, there is a procedure you have to go through, if you are on hud contact hud, if not you have to file rental escrow case with court, call Legal aid in your area
