Our deck is 35+ years old and Zak did a great job of cleaning and restoring the boards as much as possible. He also powerwashed our teak furniture which significantly improved the patina. Now, we're enjoying our deck again. Zak was professional and responsive. We'll definitely use HV HouseWash again.

For the last year, we have been noticing a rapid build up of moss and small branches on our garage. We contacted Hudson Valley House Wash, based on their reviews and reputation. Zak responded quickly and came to our house the following day (!) for an evaluation and estimate. After he inspected our garage, he gave us a detailed "battle plan", scheduled a tentative start date, and gave us a price that was very reasonable. Several weeks before the start date, Zak called to inform us that he had a last minute cancellation on another job and asked us if it was "ok if he came tomorrow" (it was). The next day when Zak arrived, he was actually early and got to work right away. He carefully disconnected the down spouts to the garage's gutters, so that the treatment would not affect a nearby stream and then climbed onto the roof to remove the debris and chemically treat the moss. After Zak was finished, he took photos (the ones I used in this review), removed all the debris and gave us a detailed explanation of the services he had performed. He explained how the remaining plant material would turn color and die off and be washed off by rain. Even as of now, the change was noticeable. I cannot stress enough how pleased we were with the job and how thorough, professional and pleasant Zak was. We were impressed! We will definitely be using Hudson Valley House Wash in the future for our exterior house cleaning needs!

Window cleaning is an important part of home cleaning services because of the curb appeal clean windows bring to a home. Dirty windows make the exterior of the home look run-down and abandoned. Clean windows bring a sense of joy and welcome to a home.
Window washing can take anywhere from 30 minutes to over 3 hours. Depending on the number of windows your home needs cleaned, this task can take quite some time! On average, a professional window cleaner should be able to completely clean one window in 5-10 minutes, depending on the size.
The end of spring and end of summer is the best time to have your windows professionally cleaned as the pollen will have accumulated on the outside of your windows by then and having them cleaned will make a huge difference in the transparency of the window.
The team's water-fed rod is linked to a special filtered ionized water tank inside the cleaning van. The special water is used to ensure there are no streaks left on the window.
A big problem is the evaporation rate. If you're cleaning your windows on a warm sunny day, the liquid part of the solution evaporates quickly and leaves behind a residue that appears as streaks. On the other hand, if you don't entirely remove the liquid you can also be left with a streaky window. A professional window cleaner will make sure no streaks are left behind.
For residential homes, you should schedule window cleaning at least twice a year. If you live on a busy street or a place with lots of pollen and trees, you might want to get your windows cleaned three times a year.
Professional window cleaners use specialized glass cleaning solutions and squeegees to make sure streaks don’t appear afterward. Then a final wipedown is done with a microfiber cloth.
A warm, sunny day is the best time to pressure wash your house. The warm sun will be able to dry out the house after washing. You should also consider pressure washing your home after the rainy, storm season has passed.

Yes, it is very possible to damage concrete with a power washing machine. The power washing machines can reach up to 5,000 PSI which can scratch and crack your concrete and cause costly repairs. A safe PSI to power wash concrete at is 1,300-2,000 PSI.
While it is possible to power wash with just water, adding a specialized cleaner can make removing tough stains a lot easier. Our cleaners are tested for safety and are eco-friendly so they will not harm any surrounding landscaping.
