I had a great experience, an excellent customer service at Greater Alliance Federal Credit Union of Hackensack NJ 07601. Ms. Arkia S. Alston Universal Member Service Representative, she is the best!! she is very knowledgeable, respectful, has a great customer service, great attitude she knows how to treat people with respect, she is very professional. Ms. Alston answered all my questions and guided me to do a better finance. I also want to thank the Manager Ms. Figueroa and her great staff, Ms. Amalia, Ms. Pilar and Ms. Gabriela, they all have a great attitude and excellent customer service. I recommend it to everyone to visit and do your finances at GAFCU from Hackensack NJ. They are the BEST!!

I visited the Hackensack new branch on 6/14 to make a large deposit check and open a youth account for my son. When I got to the office, it was 4:40 pm. I had to wait for about 5 minutes to be attended as tellers were busy. No problem with that, but the kick came in when I tried to open the account and was told that it can’t be done as staff has to be done by 5 pm on the dot. I even spoke to one of the supervisors as it is not easy for me to come in person to Hackensack. I don’t live in the area and I don’t really have time, but the answer remained a no, no blink, no buts. I guess the office slams the door at customers if you arrive 5 mins before closing. Just to put into perspective how irritating and inconvenient this is, and how little this office cared for business, I closed a NYC based credit union whom I’ve done business for over 20 years to have all my accounts and my son’s under the same umbrella, and this is how they treat customers! I guess the deposit wasn’t large enough. There is really something about a bank that doesn’t appreciate new or continuous business. I guess this credit union is just good for mortgages. This experience has led me to seek other alternatives and just keep great alliance for my mortgage and forget about banking with these people.

New location, same SLOW service and no common sense. I was the 3rd car in drive up line and was finished my transaction more than a half hour later. I don’t understand. They have machines that help count out the teller’s money. What’s the delay!?

This company is classist and untrustworthy. I don't understand how a loan application that was offered to me was discontinued after I was compliant during the whole procedure. Even after I was mocked by the loan officer Thomasina Franklin for the way I presented my documents. Her service was inefficient and unprofessional. Fast forward I had to take LOA which lead to me being absent from work for a brief moment. They proceed to inform me that the application will be terminated if I can't provide my pay stub for the days that I am on LOA. I wasted a month going back and forth with these ppl just for them to tell me that the loan offer is revoked. I am so disappointed!

Hi James, the certificate has been renewed but the hosting provider has delayed the installation. You should still be able to access Online Banking or if you have our Mobile app you can conduct your transactions through the app as well. We truly apologize for the inconvenience.

If your question is if you can transfer funds from greater alliance to another bank through online banking? The answer is yes also.You can do bank to bank transfers. Daily limit is $500. Hope this answers your question.
