Something is wrong with this place.. I’m really disappointed how they treated my mom. They do not return calls. Legal representation assignee are very unprofessional, by ignoring calls. And when you finally get a hold of them, they act like, it’s the first time they heard about you. In the case of my mom, they wasted her time by telling her for a month, they will call her back.. when we finally got a hold of a supervisor, they told her(is) that they don’t deal with such cases. I think that was a shame to treat a senior citizen that way.

If I could give them negative stars I would. They were assigned to my case by NYC's APS (Adult Protective Services) to oversee the abuse and neglect my elderly mom has endured over the past 4 years. APS apparently doesn't actually do the case work, they farm it out to "not-for-profits" like JASA. JASA has done very little to move the ball forward. They move at a snails pace, that is, if they ever call you back. They do NOT reach out to you. You have to constantly call them to get any update. I don't know where these 5 star reviews are from but it's definitely not for their elderly advocacy service. Maybe their case workers are overloaded with calls. I don't know but after attempting over a dozen calls the supervisor (Avi) who never picks up. You're told to call another number but it always goes to voicemail. I have had zero calls returned. ZERO. I have all but given up on them and will be looking into my own elder law attorney. If your elderly relative or friend needs someone, lower your expectations and expect little to no service from them and seek help elsewhere. *UPDATE* I got a call back from a supervisor. She informed me the case had been closed by the case worker. CLOSED?! Did my mom's condition suddenly improved without us knowing? No! Did the case worker contact anyone beforehand? NO! In fact she's fallen on the floor THREE MORE times. To add insult to injury, the supervisor had the nerve to ask me to remove this posting. FAT CHANCE! Unless something changes in my mom's conditions. I will leave the up indefinitely. People need to know what ACTUALLY happens when you need help for your loved ones. Maybe these people are overburdened with case loads. (See employee reviews on Glassdoor dot com). Maybe they just don't care.
