No time limit. Only rule is once you move into the next room you can't go back into the room you left. Plenty of rooms and activities though, so it's not a bad thing at all.

Mostly walking around to look at the candy turned into artwork but there were things that were interactive for the kids my grandson really enjoyed the marshmallow pit it was a nice experience

Not really, more child oriented. They warn tour takes 45 mins. We paid $25 for child & 35 / adult (+online fees = $76). In every room, kid gets to collect candy to take home. At end of your you exit through gift shop ( bit pricey ). Our 8 yr old enjoyed it very much.

Given that entrance is given in waves based on the time of pre-purchased reservation I doubt if you can buy at the door but it could be possible if the time you arrive isn't sold out or too crowded.
