It is a very dangerous place to try and walk around. The speed limits are 25 miles an hour and everyone seems to drive 50 through the campus. It's almost scary to have to cross the street. And parking is a nightmare. You almost have to walk a mile to get to your destination , that is dangerous with the way that the people drive through the campus.

The captain allowed us to park in their reserved electric vehicle parking space and charge our vehicle. Also, the officers do all they can to provide a safe environment for the students, staff, administration and authorized visitors.

Questions & Answers

My child is attending NSU and she's having a difficult time finding a place to park. Obviously, NSU did not anticipate the number of students with cars. What is NSU doing about available parking spaces for the students?

Space is limited downtown Norfolk. You can car pool, take a taxi, ride a bus, or do a park and ride with the tide. There are many options for getting to NSU. Parking rates are competivly price to maximize student parking.
