Nice little park. One access point for river trail. Once the parking lot gets paved and permanent bathroom, it would be easy 5 stars.

Good place to walk, run or just visit. Will flood with just a day of rain so use caution

They only thing to worry about is the water moccasin(cotton mouth) snake. It's very poisonous. There are some copper head snakes out too. Other than that it's fun here. I dont know much about kayaking, you're gonna have to find a guide for that. I fish the area sometimes and once in a while you might see a snake. Usually in the water, just be careful. Best fishing is April thru June. White perch(white bass), Stripers, Catfish, large and small mouth bass, and some catfish. Winter time is good too, but mostly catfish.

There is a very short section of trail at this location. I would use the Roslyn Landing Access and follow the Appomattox River Trail from there.
