This fishing pier is in a hidden spot near the RV campsite. There are lots of weed beds and I haven't been successful here. I've caught one bass but I think I was really lucky because I caught it before a major thunderstorm. So 4/5 for the big bass but lots of misses. Lots of birds here, would be great for bird watching.

RV camp, Colonel Joseph Swift Pier both overlook the Gunston Cove waterway on the Fort Belvoir Installation. Wounded Warrior Trail, birding and fishing are some options. Look toward the sky near the pier, catch a glimpse of eagles nesting.

I’m new and love this place it has loads of catfish and is a great place to walk one issue is the there is a lack of Porta John and they take it away when it shows up

Yes it is on Fort Belvoir.
Negative, if you have a Military, DoD, or CaC card you can enter on Post. I'd go to the Fort Belvoir Visitor Control Center for more info. The fishing spot is called Gunston Cove. I hope this was helpful
