It was very friendly staff and local peeps. We met someone from our area in Illinois. The burgers were recommended by the Holiday Inn Express staff and they were good. DILLION WAS OUR WAITER and he was great!.recommend for travelers and they have 8pm live music!!!

This place is awesome. If you want a fun sports bar environment, they have that. But if you prefer a more formal, steakhouse environment, they have that too! And the menu offers selections of both. Service was good and the food was wonderful. This might be my favorite restaurant in Athens.

Came from Huntsville to go to Mac's. It was well worth the drive. As soon as you walk in everybody makes you feel welcome the food and drinks were good. DJ Heath was there and did a great job of playing the perfect music and people had a great time dancing. I have seen him as a DJ doing karaoke . He has an amazing voice and a great sound system. But as a DJ he was great playing The perfect songs and everyone had so much fun dancing. Will definitely be back when he's there next month. Drew was a fantastic bartender and Marcus did a good job as our waiter. So thank you to Mac's for an entertaining night and a big thank you to DJ Heath for making the whole night wonderful. Will make the drive again next Month when he is there again. A big thanks to Mac's for having DJ Heath there along with the staff. I give you 5 stars.

People of Athens clearly lied or were drunk when they recommended this place. The service is atrocious, and the waitress's attitude was super tacky. I didn't expect upscale restaurant type service, but I would at least expect their service to be on par with Ro's Grille. They won't see me there ever again. If you aren't a good old boy, don't expect good service, I guess??? At least that's the impression we got. Btw we were there on 3/2/2022 in case there is any professional there that would like to look into the matter, which I highly doubt.
