A great trail for commuting running biking that connects lots of Arlington.

There's plenty of parking with the upgraded playground baseball area.

I enjoy this trail but the trail side food options I encountered sucked (stopped at 4 before giving up and getting McDonalds).

Use the trail instead of the edge of the road. Why not try Rt.7 , at least you can see what's coming when your trying to get around a pack of 8mph moving barricades!!🤨.

Yes you can go jogging but you can also take a bicycle that has an electric motor and battery on it as well as an electric wheelchair or an electric scooter. Virginia law states that the motor may not be more than 1000 watts and it is not considered a motor vehicle. Think about it, most wheelchairs are electric and they have "motors", if you excluded motors completely it would exclude electric wheelchairs and this is why this law was put in place among other things. There are many people out there who are elderly that still want to ride a bicycle but cannot do so without the pedal assist option which makes them free to enjoy a bicycle again. And yes there is a sign that reads: no motorized vehicles" but as I stated before and will say again, an electric motor that is 1000 Watts or less is not considered a motor vehicle according to Virginia law and can operate on any bicycle designated path. According to federal law it is 750 Watts or less.
The bike lane and caboose cavern are nice place to take a break and I'm sure you can borrow an outlet. They are both right off the trail near vienna

If you feel safe wearing one! The trail is pretty flat and safe for the most part.
Yes. If all else fails, there are free parking garages throughout Shirlington, which is about a quarter mile from the trail head.
No. Other than the traditional "You lost something, I found it," your best shot is to check with the Fairfax County and Vienna police in hopes that a good Samaritan turned in your item. I'm thinking, if I found something on the trail, I would leave it at one of the water fountains, but if it was valuable and didn't have your name, I'd have no idea how to get it back to you. Maybe call the Northern Virginia Park Authority; W&OD is a regional park operated by that agency.
Paving is complete EB to Cochran Mill Rd. Very nice & smooth, alleviating many buckles from tree roots.
