Excellent place to push off.

Never new this place existed until my bestie told me. The chicken pesto sandwich was to die for and KeKe (bartender) makes AMAZING drinks. Great place for an afternoon getaway and it won't break your wallet.

Great place with a public launch. Only improvement needed is low night time lighting, so bringing boat back up when sun has set is tricky.

No. Closest one would be Pentagon but walk a bit to get around to the Marina. If thinking of Taxi/Uber, Pentagon City or Rosslyn are better alternatives.
Yes. There is a $5 ramp usage fee
you are not allowed to park over night.
It's a national park and I don't think you can grill. you can call the marina that is on site there and ask them if you can use their grill. Call Columbia Island Marina
Plus there is a bass pro shop around the corner from the Marina for you to get your license at
Unfortunately no, National Park Service does not allow live-on boats for permanent residence. Through a weekend, for a few days no problem. But not as a residence.
The food in 2017 waa very good. American w some nice items like a lobster roll, also some more casual appetizers. Not much for vegetarians. Unless you coumt the cheese fries which are deelish!:)
About $4,000 per year if the boat stays in the water. A summertime onky slip is cheaper, but thr boat must be removed in Fall snd Winter and then you'd have to pay to have it towed somewhere else and pay for it to be trailered on land so it might not save nuch money unless you stow it far out in the rural areas where it's cheaper. Contact the office for exact prices.
