They are friendly and the marriage process is easy with them. Parking is a little hard to find but out side of that smooth!

I had such a swift, easy and pleasant first time experience with this courthouse from entrance to exit. We were new and needed help getting a marriage license; everyone from the sheriffs to the clerks were very helpful and courteous. Thanks to everyone at this courthouse!

Bottom line: The clerks office is absolute trash. None of the employees there can keep their stories straight about what is 'correct information' and every time I or my husband call about our documents for our civil service, the information we are given IS DIFFERENT EVERY TIME. We just want our marriage certificate and they are making us jump through ridiculous hoops that was never explained in person or on their website. On top of that, when we initially submit our paperwork, they failed to notify us that there was a problem. When we called asking about it and the clerk had to go check the mail room and open our paperwork A MONTH after it was mailed, as if this was the first time they even checked their mail. The incompetency is mind blowing and they are now forcing our officiant, who lives on the other side of the state, to drive all the way back here to sign a couple forms.....

WHAT IS NEEDED TO GET MARRIED IN ALEXANDTIA VA.
If she lived in the City of Alexandria (not the Fairfax part of Alexandria), you can go to the clerk's office on the third floor and inquire there. Go left out of the elevator. Bring a quarter for a locker to put your cell phone in, or leave it in the car, because you have to go through security and they're not allowed in the courthouse.
Yes if you have not contact them or spoke to anyone yet
King Street then after you enter the building it is on the second floor

You can look up your name on their general District court website, and any tickets under your name should appear. http://www.courts.state.va.us/courts/gd/alexandria/home.html Click on the pay tickets tab. That should get you started.
