I had to get my drivers license and tag renewed. (6/24/22) I checked in online and showed up not knowing what I would be facing. The security guard out front was extremely helpful and the wait time was minimal. I was assisted by a very kind and knowledgeable young lady in Bay 6 I think. My receipt shows cashier F7155JDJ. She was amazing! I went there at lunch time on a Friday and it was the easiest process even though I had been putting it off because I thought it would be painful! I highly suggests using the online checkin and have your documents ready. The team in that office exceeded my expectations. Thank you!!

Some lady was very rude there. I asked for help getting my drivers License test and she smirked at me and rolled her eyes. I’m 18 years old the last time I went to the dmv they were nice and told me I didn’t need an appointment. Instead of helping me she kept referring me to other people. I know she could have helped if she wanted to. Instead she was very lazy and wanted to get through with me as fast as possible. I am shocked to see how some people can be. I expect more out of people representing our county. I’m surprised 0 stars wasn’t an option for a review.

I had Beth assist me today and she outdid any and all of my expectations as to the service I expected. Thank you

You better call first. You used to be able to register and renew vehicles and driver’s licenses at the St. John’s County office...even if you live in Duval........ but that all changed during Covid. They have been turning people away during 2020 and part of 2021. So best to call first.
Yes. By appointment. I think Tuesday and Thursday only though.
St john usually isn't that busy
You shouldn't need an appointment but be sure and go around 10am. That is the magic time!
I was there on Monday. No appointment. But you need to live in St Johns County.
Around 830-9am
Does it all and depending on time of day very little wait.
You will need your current registration renewal notice or registration card, proof of auto insurance, and payment in the form of check or credit cards. If you are renewing in person, you may also be asked for an ID. You can avoid the long lines and frustration of tag renewal at the Florida DMV when you renew your vehicle’s registration online. We are a convenient and secure way to renew not only your Florida tags but we offer an expanding range of online services including state vehicle records, drivers license information, DMV records, and even auto insurance quotes
