We always bring our shuttle vehicles here while we kayaknfrom Siver Springs to Gores Landing. This is a pretty and clean little camp ground, small and perfect!

Good little camping spot with easy access to the river. Has enough amenities to get you by grills, fire rings, and restrooms. Has a small boat ramp as well.

Not that I noticed but they might be inconspicuous.

Is it crowded in winter and is there a discount for senior pass holders? Thanks

This is a state owned property managed by Marion County. It is a first come first serve, pay at the pipe facility. May also be accessed by boat via the Ocklawaha River. This is a bit off the beaten path of nearby Ocala National Forest, so it is more apt to have sites available compared to my experience with ONForest first come first serve facilities.

is this a primitive spot i can park my van or use a tent free camping

This is a primitive campsite. There is also a restroom facility with water and an outdoor shower. There is a place designated for vehicle parking and multiple campsites for tents . Overnight camping is pretty reasonable , cost is per carload. Also there is a loading ramp for direct access to the Ocklawaha river.
