this is the worst swimming school. I wouldn't even recommend this school to my worst enemy NOT that I have one. But overall I will not recommend this swimming school to anyone. Saturday lesson is CANCEL majority of the times even the make up classes. This place is too quick to get your payment every month and way too quick to cancel the lesson as well. Waste of time and most importantly waste of your money. Please don't enroll your child here its NOT worth your time and money. There's other swimming school 10x better than this school more professional and more attentive.

Do you and your family a favor go somewhere else. There are other swim school that is way and lot better than Dolphin University Swim School. This place just want your money and nothing more.

This has been a HORRIBLE experience!! Just as many other reviews stated classes are consistently canceled, my son started in June and from then to now there has been 6 cancellations out of the 11 classes scheduled. We now have 6 make up classes that we have been unable to use because classes are always canceled on the day of by text with no explanation. My son looks forward to the classes and it’s a huge disappointment and disruption in the swim learning process when classes are consistently canceled. I have ended our membership and will be going elsewhere!!

I agree with another parent who stated that this isn't a great swim school. I also made the decision to take my son out of another swim school (that was very well structured) to attend Dolphin U, a black owned business, which was also closer to our home. I also made the decision to enroll my daughter once she turned 6 months in order to begin her swim training. The classes were cancelled frequently, we would receive a text and email about an hour prior to the cancellation of class. My children had collected quite a few make up sessions, so many, that there would be no way they could all be made up. The issue I have with this is that the only day I am free to take my children to this class is Sunday (which is why my children were enrolled in those sessions in the first place). I work Mon-Fri and I wanted to be able to bring them consistently. I called and attempted to cancel our membership and ask for a refund at the end of June. I was told that no refund would be given but we could use our make up sessions as class time (the Sunday sessions that we were already attending) and start paying again after the makeup had been exhausted. I already knew this would be a problem because the Sunday sessions were already being cancelled frequently, so how would this work? Had the classes convened, we wouldn't need make ups. I was also told that the owner would be contacting me once he had gotten back from an "out of town trip". This also never occurred. This Sunday, 7/10, my family and I arrived at 9:25 to attend the tiny dolphins session for my daughter and the 10:30 session for my son. Once we entered, the gym receptionist (LA Fitness - Bowie) kindly informed us that Dolphin U personnel never arrived and we were the third family to attempt to attend classes that morning. She suggested that we attempt to get in contact with the swim school and find out what is going on. Once we left, I checked my text, email and app for notifications, yet again (his makes the third that morning), nothing was received notifying us that class would be cancelled today. This, sadly, is what happens when you try to support small/black businesses. I DO NOT recommend sending your children here. The classes are not structured and the staff is unreliable, not to mention the customer service isn't at all empathetic to the fact that we, as customers, have had our time and money wasted. Children need consistency in regards to swim lessons and this class IS NOT ideal. It is a HUGE waster of TIME and MONEY. I really hate to be THAT mother/patron but this needed to be said. My kids actually enjoyed attending this class and it's a big disappointment to have to tell them that they will no longer be attending.
