Amazing guys there! Went over there, invited on a private tour in less than 5 minutes! Very thorough, lot of history. The station is beautiful! Thank you OFD!

If you're into Fire Station design like I am then you'll appreciate the architecture of this building. It has an awesome green roof that you can see when parking in the adjacent garage, not to mention it is right next to Ember, which is a cool restaurant/bar with a fun outdoor space. Thank you first responders who represent Fire Station One, Orlando. You're lucky to work in an awesome building!

I had the honor and priveledge of working with the men and women of the Orlando Fire Department during the Surfside building collapse days ago. For the record, These men and women never stopped working under stressful situations where so much was at stake. Their work ethic spoke volumes about who they are and how lucky the citizens of Orlando are to have them in their corner. They are just like us is the best compliment i can give and until my last days i will always echo that about Orlando Firefighters. Great Job boys and Girls and thanks for all the Help. MFD

This star is solely for them responding. I called them three weeks ago for what I thought was another COPD exasperation. They arrived and checked my lungs, breathing and O2 saturation. All were perfectly normal. I had meds at home and had been self treating for a few days. 98% O2 saturation and a clear airway is hardly characteristic of a COPD flare up. The big guy says ORMC will do the same thing you’re already doing and talked me out of a ride downtown. The next day things got worse and I called again. This time they took me. Turns out my sodium level was critically low and I was lucky to be alive. Now I’m stuck with the bill for a ride, a day later that could have ended much worse. You get no kudos this time big guy. This is only intended for the fire station that responded that night.

OFD does not have captains. The have lieutenants. The are more than 80 lieutenants on the department.
Fire stations are not equipped or available for family reunions
The department does hands only CPR but does not do the American Heart certified CPR course. The hands only CPR is done in a group setting in the form of a demo through the pub ed department.
Call the city fire department. Usally hiring is done once or twice a year. This is due to training schedules
